Ric Palombi’s dedication to truly understanding the fixed-income market has made him Canada’s top Bond Manager for the past five years, as measured by RBC Dexia.

By analyzing interest rates, inflation, sector credit curves, the quality of individual issuers, liquidity of issues and regulations affecting the financial sector, Ric anticipates the movements of the market and positions McLean’s fixed-income portfolio to outperform its peers.

He also sets the asset allocation and macro hedging strategy via top-down analysis of global economic trends that will influence the performance of McLean & Partners investment funds. (Other team members provide bottom-up analysis of individual companies.)

Before coming to McLean & Partners in 2005, he was a Portfolio Manager in private investment counsel at TD Asset Management, after beginning his career in the financial industry as an Investment Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities.

In addition to his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Alberta, Ric holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and he’s an active member of both the Toronto and Calgary Societies of Financial Analysts.

Ric is a fan of Formula 1 racing and soccer, who spends his time away from the office with his wife, Angela, and their three children.
