Jamie Robertson, MBA, CIM
Chief Investment Officer

With over 30 years of investing experience, Jamie’s insights will lead the Research Team in independent research and strategy. McLean & Partners welcomed Jamie to the team in January 2012 as its Chief Investment Officer.

Jamie’s role at McLean and Partners rests on three pillars. The first is risk management; he has proven to produce above average returns during economic downturns through a concerted risk strategy. The second is focusing on fundamental research principles by differentiating a good company from a good stock. Lastly, the third pillar is developing an execution strategy for appropriate allocation, sizing, and positioning.

Before joining McLean & Partners, Jamie spent 10 years at Manulife Financial in Toronto, where he served as Vice President, Proprietary Equities. Previous to this position, he spent time with CT Securities as Vice President, Government Trading, as well as Vice President, Fixed Income Trading at JP Morgan Canada. Jamie also worked at BLC Securities in Montreal, where he held the position of Executive Vice President, Head of Sales and Trading. He began his career with positions in trading and fund management for the Mercantile Bank of Canada, the Norden Capital Markets, and the Union Bank of Switzerland.

Jamie is a graduate of the Master of Business Administration program at Concordia University (1982). He also holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation. In his off hours, Jamie enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, golfing, and fishing. He is also an avid camper.
