David Sherlock, BA (ECON), CIM, FMA, PFP, AICB
Portfolio Manager & Director of Product Management

In off hours, David Sherlock teaches investment courses to undergraduate business students and students who are looking to enter the brokerage world, so it’s no wonder he easily makes sense of investing strategies for clients.

His first principle is that every client deserves to be an informed participant in shaping his or her investment strategy. He offers financial counsel in both English and Cantonese, having spent his formative years in Hong Kong.

David has been a Portfolio Manager for McLean & Partners since 2009, after working as a portfolio analyst for Paramount Financial. Before that he was a regional sales advisor for AGF Fund and he entered financial services as a banker with Scotiabank.

A graduate of the University of Calgary, he holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Society, as well as Political Science. He also holds designations as a Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) and he’s an Associate with the Institute of Canadian Bankers (AICB).

David teaches the Canadian Securities Course and other investment management courses at Mount Royal University. He’s married, with four children.
