Brent has been Chief Executive Officer of McLean & Partners since founding the company in 1999. Over the past 11 years, the team has built the company into a leading High Net 'Worth Private Client company focused on Global Investing. Brent's vision is to build Canada's most respected wealth management company.

After receiving a bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1978, Brent began his career as an investment executive at 'Wood Gundy. He then moved to Prudential Bache Securities, later acquired by Burns Fry, where he achieved a place among the top five per cent of investment advisors in Canada. During this time, he developed a portfolio approach and investment team that he eventually led to create McLean & Partners Wealth Management Ltd.

Brent has twice been a finalist for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the year. He is committed to life long learning and is a member of TEC Canada (the Canadian division of Vistage) and Strategic Coach.

Brent is a strong believer in giving back to the community that has been instrumental in the Company's success. The Company, along with Brent and his family, is a proud supporter of the Adolescent Addiction Recovery Centre (AARC), the Calgary Health Trust where Brent was a member of the $300m Reach Campaign, Junior Achievement, the Calgary Opera, the Banff Centre and sponsor of 2010 Gold Medal Athletes, Carla MacLeod and Jon Montgomery.
